WSJ columnist pooh-poohs risk of inflation
Posted: November 17, 2009 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentDespite record-high gold prices (up 52 % in the past year), strong demand for treasury inflation-protected bonds (iShares Barclays TIPS Bond Fund is up 10% in the past year), and evidence of inflationary pressures in a variety of sectors of the U.S. economy (see here, here, here, here, here, and here), “any inflation flare-up should be short-lived, and might even sow the seeds of its own demise,” writes Wall Street Journal columnist Mark Gongloff.
Whew, what a relief!
